Pathways to the Professions provides advice and guidance to local state school students interested in applying for Medicine, Law, Veterinary Medicine or Architecture. The scheme provides a lot of opportunites to gain experience and boost your personal statement. Pupils can register with the scheme from fourth year upwards. Medic Insight is an exciting opportunity open to pupils currently in S5 and who are planning to apply for medicine in their sixth year. The course lasts for a week in June and is hosted by junior doctors from Edinburgh University. Applications for the Edinburgh experience are open from Monday 17th February for a week. Education Scotland has recently launched the first in a series of new materials to support numeracy at home.
These new materials consist of illustrations with some simple ideas to build numbers into everyday activities. The newly published materials have ideas relating to measurement and money.
