Hopefully you will have been to, or at least heard of, Dunbar's annual SciFest, a fabulous showcase of all things exciting and scientific to get our children interested in the world of Science. Have a look at our website for a taste of what's happened in previous years.

As we continue to grow year on year, we are finding that we need more people and skills on our organising team than we currently have, and are therefore looking for new members to come on board and help us deliver this amazing event in March next year. A scientific background is not necessary for this; organisational and other skills are what's needed.

French revision classes are now available, they are open to all pupils from S4 - S6.  This is an ideal time to practice your modern language skills and prepare for your exam.
Two revision classes are available:

  • Mrs Cochrane, Wednesday lunchtime, 1.20 pm onwards.
  • Miss McBride, Thursday after-school 4 pm - 5 pm.

This is a reminder to all S3 and S4 Physics pupils that you can get your own copy of "Virtual National 4 Physics" and "Virtual National 5 Physics".  These resources cover the Experiences and Outcomes for Level 4 Physics and the Key Areas for National 4 and 5 Physics. Just bring a pen drive with you to class and your Physics teachers will show you how to load up your own set.

These are ideal to help with revision or to work through if absent from school.

The English Department has changed the day of the Nat5 revision session from Wednesdays to Mondays, after feedback from students.

 

So come along this MONDAY 2 DECEMBER to practise questions on WORD CHOICE.

Revision sessions will be starting this Wednesday lunchtime for National 5 students.

After this week, the revision sessions will be moved to Mondays 4-5 pm.

 

We'll be revising the skills needed to complete the Close Reading paper, and each week we'll take a different skill and practise it in the session.

You'll get lots of feedback and support from the English department during the sessions.

 

The sessions will take place in Mr Edward's room.
