This week, progress reports have been issued for all S3 pupils and there was a very busy parents’ consultation evening on Wednesday for this year group.

The S5/6 prelim examinations begin on 25 January. I’m sure you all join me in wishing the pupils success in these important examinations.

During assemblies on Wednesday, members of the S6 Charities Committee gave a very moving presentation on the earthquake in Haiti. This was followed yesterday by a whole school collection, all the monies are yet to be counted, but the pupils and staff gave generously and by mid-morning the collection was estimated to be over £700.

Best wishes to Ms MacLeod (PT Support for Pupils) who goes on maternity leave today. During Ms MacLeod’s absence, Mrs Ingham (Depute) will lead the Support for Pupils Faculty.
