Passing through France, Italy and Switzerland The Tour du Mont Blanc (TMB) is a 170km trek around the Mont Blanc massif, with a total ascent of over 10,000m – that’s more than climbing Everest! The reward; stunning scenery, the chance to improve your foreign language skills, learn about the Geography of the areas – and meet other trekkers from all over the world while staying in mountain huts and refuges.
The trip is organised by the ELC Outdoor Learning Service and led by our own qualified International Mountain Leaders. It will take place in the last week of the 2017 Summer Term and the first week of the Summer holidays . The trip is open to any pupils across the current S3 – S6 years in an ELC school who are up for the challenge.

Pupils attending the S1 residential to Outward Bound should now have paid £100 of the final £250. Any pupil who has not yet paid this should see Ms Brannigan ASAP. The next payment of £50 is due on Monday 6th February. Thank you.

This is a reminder that the 3rd installement for the Paris 2017 trip is due by Friday 27th January. Any pupils who are still to make their second payment should see Miss McBride as a matter of urgency to discuss this with her.
There is still one space left on the trip, any pupil who would like to take up this place should speak to Miss McBride ASAP.

If your new year's resolution is (a) to become more involved in the school or (b) to help the environment, then join the Green Team! The first Green Team meeting of 2017 will be this Wednesday at 1:30pm in Miss Laudi's room. Weather permitting, we will do a paper collection. If any teachers would like their paper bags to be emptied, they should send an email to Miss Laudi.
