Most people have watched a spy film, but have you ever met a ‘real world’ Secret Agent? Well if you come into Knox Academy this week you will no doubt be fascinated by the work that our new S2’s will be doing.

I’m hoping to give a daily update of the work that is happening throughout the week and hopefully include a few photos. Instead of giving away today’s secrets, here is how we introduced ‘Spy Week’ at an Assembly.

If you are on study leave and still have maths textbooks to return (or any others), please bring them in on the day of your exam or before.  We need them for new classes in two weeks. Please return them to the library.

Leckie & Leckie have teamed up with the Daily Record & Sunday Mail to create free exam guides that will feature in this weekend’s papers.

There are two separate exam guide supplements – one for Maths and one for English – which will be filled with practice exam questions, fully worked answers and revision hints and tips.

In each supplement there will be also be a voucher which offers 3 for 2 on all Leckie & Leckie Study Guides at local WHSmith store's from now until 6 April 2013.

A group of our pupils have taken on the huge challenge of researching and writing a report on 'The Importance of Engineering to Scotland'. We have had the pleasure of welcoming various Engineers into school to talk about their work and we recently visited the UK ATC.  We always hear about the discoveries and science but not often the engineers who design, built and test the equipment for the research.  Our visit involved talks from an Astronomer and two Engineers who work at the Observatory and then an 'access all areas' tour of the Observatory. All in all, a fantastic day. We'd like to thank Dr Hermine Schnetler for organising the visit and for being so enthusiastic to help us in our research....

As part of our S3 Measurement topic, we arranged to learn about Laser Guns and how to use them. We checked how accurate our measurements were using the Laser Gun and then measured the speed of vehicles on Pencaitland Road.
